Illegal IPTV major challenge in the Nordics
The use of illegal services has been a major challenge to the video industry in the Nordics for years. That refers to illegal services to download or stream video content online, as well as Illegal IPTV. New research from Mediavision shows that almost 900 000 households in the Nordics subscribe to illegal TV, i.e., paid services that give illegal access to thousands of TV channels and VOD like for example IPTV King and Rapid Swiss TV.

Nordic films score historic triple win in Cannes
Our guess is that few of you have missed the news that Ruben Östlund scored his second Palme D’Or for his latest movie ‘Triangle of Sadness’ (set to premiere in theatres this fall) in Cannes this weekend. However, Ruben was not the only Nordic winner at the festival. Tarik Saleh won Best Script for ‘Boy from Heaven’ and Zar Amir Ebrahimi Best Actress for ‘Holy Spider’. The triple Scandinavian win at the festival follows last year’s top awards for Norway’s ‘The Worst Person in the World’ (Best Actress to Renate Reinsve) and Finland’s ‘Compartment No6’ (Grand Prix).
